TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda 1U Half-Rack 1kW and 1U Full-Rack 1kW Programmable DC Power Supplies.
These latest introductions add to the 1U Half-Rack platform (1.5kW), and complete the 1U Full-Rack platform (1.7kW, 2.7kW, 3.4kW and 5kW). They offer advanced performance and functionality well-suited for both bench-top and rack-mount product design and development in laboratory/R&D environments for market segments such as Automotive, Industrial, Semiconductor, Medical, Aerospace and Renewable/Alternative Energy.
Ten models are available with voltage ratings of 10V, 20V, 30V, 40V, 60V, 80V, 100V, 150V, 300V and 600V and operate from a wide-range single-phase AC input (85VAC ~ 265VAC) with built-in active Power Factor Correction (0.99 typical). They have built-in safety features (Safe/Auto Re-Start and Last-Setting Memory) and protection functions (OVP, OVL, UVP, UVL, FOLD CV/CC, etc.) and are capable of operating in Constant-Current (CC), Constant-Voltage (CV) or Constant-Power (CP) limit mode.
Any unit can be ordered with a Standard Front Panel Display (with front panel Lock/Un-Lock capability) or a Blank Front Panel (where front panel local-mode user access is not required) with an available add-on Air Filter kit to minimize dust infiltration.
All models come in a lightweight package (3.5kg: Half-Rack / 5.0kg: Full-Rack) for easy movement and installation in both benchtop and rack-mount configurations. Two, three and four half-rack units can be zero-stacked using the GH/MO-2U, -3U or -4U Stacking Accessory kits and one or two half-rack units can be installed in a standard 1U 19” rack-mount configuration using the GH/RM Rack-Mount Accessory kit.
Interfacing is common across the entire power platform (1kW to 15kW) by local front panel control, remotely via the built-in LAN (LXI 1.5), USB (2.0) or RS-232/RS-485 Remote Digital interfaces or by use of the built-in Isolated Analog (5V/10V) Interface. Optional rear panel Remote Digital Interfaces include the IEEE (GPIB), Modbus-TCP and EtherCAT. Instrument software drivers are also available as well as application software that includes a Waveform Creator (to create, store/load and trigger waveform sequence profiles) and a Virtual Front Panel GUI (with Status Logger, Constant Power Limit simulator and Solar Array simulator).
The Half-Rack and Full-Rack 1kW Programmable DC Power Supply platforms have Safety certifications to IEC/EN/UL/cUL 61010-1, is CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage, EMC (IEC/EN 61204-3; industrial environment) and RoHS Directives and carries a five (5) year warranty.
