Class II, Level VI External 110W Rated Power Supplies have Home Medical and ITE Safety Certifications

San Diego, CA – December 2018 –

TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda medical and Industrial certified DTM110-C8 Class II (no earth ground needed) external power supplies. This series meets the stringent DoE Level VI and EU Tier 2 v5 standards for efficiency and off-load power..The DTM110-C8 is certified to the medical IEC 60601-1 and industrial IEC 60950-1 standards, making it suitable for a variety of hospital and home healthcare applications, plus industrial test, measurement and portable equipment.

The DTM110-C8 is housed in a rugged, IP41 rated, vent-free enclosure measuring 63mm x 140mm x 33mm (W x L x H). AC is applied through the standard IEC 60320-C8 (2-prong) socket and the output DC cable is fitted with a 4-pin Power-DIN connector as standard, with other connector types available upon request. The adapters also feature over-voltage and over-current protection.

Accepting a 90 to 264VAC input, the 105 to 110W adapters are available with 12V, 15V, 19V, 24V, 28V, 36V and 48V outputs and can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to +60°C (derating linearly to 50% load from 40 to 60°C). In addition to satisfying DoE Level VI and EU Tier 2 v5 requirements with an average efficiency of greater than 89%, the power supplies have an off-load power consumption of less than 0.15W.

The DTM110-C8 series has been certified to IEC/ES/CSA/EN 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-11, IEC/UL/CSA/EN 60950-1 and carries the CE mark for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives..All models meet IEC 60601-1-2 Ed4:2014, EN 55011-B, EN 55032-B, FCC Part 15 Class B, FCC Part 18 Class B emissions and immunity standards. Input to ground isolation is 1,500Vac (1 x MoPP), input to output 4,000Vac (2 x MoPP) and the touch current is <100µA. All models are suitable for B and BF rated equipment with operation up to an altitude of 5,000m.
