40-65W 2 x 4” Medical and ITE Power Supplies Have Very Low Off-load Power Consumption

San Diego, CA – June 2017 –
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the CSS65A series of AC-DC power supplies with an off-load power consumption of less than 75mW. Packaged in the industry standard 2” x 4” footprint with a low height of 1.08”, the series is suitable for many medical, clinical, test and measurement, process control, broadcast and communications applications.
The CSS65A accepts a 90 to 264Vac input and is available with 5, 12, 15, 19, 24, 28, 48 and 54V outputs. The output power level is 40W for the 5V output and 65W for the 12 to 54V outputs. Remote sense is included, enabling the power supplies to compensate for load cable voltage drops.
A choice of Molex or JST connectors is available for the input and output connectors. Average efficiency is 89% (86% for the 5V) and the units can operate at full load in ambient temperatures of up to 50oC, and deliver up to 50% load at 70oC without the need for external airflow. Leakage current is less than 100µA at 264Vac 63Hz.
The power supply has 4kVac input to output (2 x MoPPs), 1.5kVac (1 x MoPP) input to ground and 1.5kVac (1 x MoPP) output to ground isolation. All models are certified to ANSI / AAMI ES 60601-1, IEC / EN 60601-1, UL / CSA / IEC / EN 60950-1 and carry the CE mark for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives..The CSS65A models comply with EN 55011-B and FCC-B conducted and radiated emissions, and meets the IEC 61000-3-2 harmonics, IEC 61000-4 and EN 60601-1-2 4th edition immunity standards.
